There are many types of plate boundries but the main three are; Constructive/Divergent, Destructive/Convergent and Conservative/Transform.
1. Divergent plates are when two plates push away from each other causing magma to rise from the earth's core and cools down to create a new crust causing volcanoes.
2. Convergent plates are when and oceanic plate move towards a continental, the denser oceanic plate sinks below the continental plate. When the oceanic plate moves under the continental plate it melts into magma.
3. A transform plate is when two plates move horizontally pass each other without disturbing the earth's crust.
